The International Foundation Congress and Equipment Expo is underway in Orlando, FL. This is one of the biggest geo-conferences out there and is sponsored by ADSC, The Geo-Institute and PDCA with the cooperation of 15 other national and international organizations including AEG, ARMA, DFI, the FHWA and others. Perhaps GeoPrac will be able to report from the next IFCEE, but for now we welcome anyone who would like to submit photos, commentary or other info from the conference. Hawthorne, NJ (December 1, 2012): David B. Coleman received one of the Deep Foundations Institute’s (DFI) highest honors, the Distinguished Service Award, in October during the DFI’s 37th Annual Conference in Houston. He was the 32nd recipient of the award, designated for individuals or companies chosen by their peers for exceptionally valuable contributions to the deep foundations industry.

In July of 2007 a virtual who’s who of the Geo-community gathered at the headquarters of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for a workshop to discuss the Trends Affecting the Geo-community. Yesterday the ASCE released a report on the workshop titled: Trends Affecting the Geo-Community: What Does the Future Hold, edited by Peter Smeallie. More details after the break.
