From ASCE Smart Brief: With summer here, it’s time to develop your nominations for the following awards in the construction and geotechnical specialties. Let ASCE’s Honors and Awards Program know of someone you think may deserve any of these awards by Aug. 15. Click on the award for more information and to download forms:
- Casagrande Award — recognizing outstanding accomplishments as evidenced by completed works, reports or papers in the field of geotechnical engineering.
- Construction Management Award — recognizing a member of the Society who has made a definite contribution in the field of construction management.
- Kapp Award — recognizing the best example of innovative or outstanding design or construction of foundations, earthworks, retaining structures, or underground construction.
- Terzaghi Award — for outstanding contributions to knowledge in the fields of soil mechanics, subsurface and earthwork engineering, and subsurface and earthwork construction.
