Geotextile tubes are filled by pumping material in slurry form into the tube to form structures that can be used as breakwaters, levees, or other containment structures. TenCate has a new product that much improves what was a weak point in the system, the connection between the geotextile tube and the injection system. Their newly-patented Geoport mechanical injection system reduces stress at the injection point, and makes sure that the final closed connection is as strong as the geotextile itself.
