Randy’s 333 Charity Water Campaign to celebrate GeoPrac.net’s 10th Anniversary

The joy of clean water in Uganda

Most of us have no idea what it’s like to be thirsty. We have plenty of water to drink — even the water in our toilets is clean!

But many people around the world don’t have that luxury. Every day, about 1,400 children die from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. I find that unacceptable! There are simple solutions like drilled wells, spring protections and BioSand filters that help provide clean water to people who are forced to drink water that most of us would find repulsive.

In honor of my 40th birthday, and to celebrate the 10th anniversary of GeoPrac.net, I decided to start a charity: water campaign to build these types of projects around the world, and I’m hoping my colleagues, GeoPrac.net visitors, sponsors, and others will rally around me to help.

I have set a goal of raising $10,000 which will provide clean drinking water to 333 people…hence the name of my campaign.  At the end of the day, this is really not about me, GeoPrac, or anything else except helping change the lives of 333 people in a developing country.

100% of the money we donate will be used to build clean water projects (that’s right, they cover their overhead through separate private fundraising).  When the projects are complete, charity: water will send us photos and GPS coordinates so we can see the exact community we helped.

Please consider a charitable donation to this campaign. Thank you!
