Burlington, Mass., July 24, 2018 – Haley & Aldrich, an engineering and environmental consulting company, today announced that R. Dunn has an impressive and diversified portfolio of work, specifically within California’s most sought-after real estate development markets. Notably, he has provided technical leadership and senior-level management for multiple projects spanning the blocks of the Transbay District in San Francisco. He has also provided geotechnical engineering services for significant work in Silicon Valley including the new Apple headquarters, Apple Park, which opened in 2017.

“One of Jeff’s attributes that is particularly noteworthy is his continued desire to leverage his decades of project experience to best solve client challenges and to share his knowledge through mentoring others,” said Joel Mooney, General Manager, Buildings & Infrastructure at Haley & Aldrich. “These qualities make him a great fit for Haley & Aldrich, and, more importantly, our clients.”

Prior to Haley & Aldrich, Dunn held senior technical leadership positions at international engineering firms where he led geotechnical, water, major building, and infrastructure practices. He is internationally known for his expertise and his practical, yet innovative, solutions in the design and construction of building structures, dams and levees, and large infrastructure projects.

Dunn was a professor of geotechnical engineering and taught courses at University of Colorado and at his alma mater, the University of California, Berkeley. He is on the Editorial Board for GEOSTRATA Magazine and is an active member of the Geoinstitute of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as well as the International Society of Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering.
