An 11-foot diameter limestone core has become a ‘geotechnical monument’ of sorts according to the good folks at Dan Brown and Associates. DBA was the geotechnical designer for a new bridge carrying I-70 over the Mississippi River in St. Louis. The core is located on the west bank (St. Louis side) near the new bridge.
