A man was killed on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 when he fell 50 to 70 feet while working on a rock scaling project in Clear Creek Canyon on US 6 in Colorado.  The man, 40-year-old Jaime Sarinana-Herrera, was working for Apex Rockfall Mitigation at the time on a $3M safety project for Colorado DOT involving scaling, and possibly pinned mesh based on how the news reports describe it.  My condolences to Mr. Sarinana-Herrera’s family, friends, and colleagues.
