A new resource is available for test methods to evaluate the corrosion potential of earthen materials. The National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) just released a new publication on the topic authored by corrosion expert Ken Fishman of McMahon & Mann, and Soheil Nazarian and others from UTEP. It attempts to assess and improve the current methods for characterizing steel corrosion potential of earthen materials. Download the manual for free from the Transportation Research Board.
