Bentley has been at the forefront of digital data standards in geoengineering, first with AGS in the UK, and now with DIGGS. A recent blog post by Roger Chandler describes the current efforts at Bentley and elsewhere to advance the state of the practice in geotechnical data exchange. One of the notable points is that they are supporting two different open-source efforts to create validation tools, one for AGS, and one for DIGGS. He also talks about their ongoing work to have an API available for working with data in OpenGround through their OpenGround Developers Network.
