Familiar Team Enhances Air Quality Service Capabilities
OLATHE, Kan. — Terracon is pleased to announce the acquisition of AQS Environmental Inc. of Omaha, Neb. Founded in 1965, Terracon offers environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials services from more than 150 offices across the United States.
AQS is an air quality consulting firm with extensive experience solving mold, asbestos, lead-based paint, indoor air quality, and radon issues. AQS’s complementary service offerings will transition seamlessly into Terracon.

The combination of our firms will allow us to better serve client needs and provide growth opportunities for both firms’ employees.”
AQS was established in 2001 by cofounders, Jon Fannon and Steve Hudson, both former Terracon employees who will return to the company as part of this transaction.
AQS serves a client base across Nebraska, Iowa, and the upper Midwest which includes public school districts and higher education institutions, medical facilities, professional consulting firms, and construction companies. “Over the last 14 years we’ve worked to build AQS into a respected air quality firm,” says Fannon. “With Terracon’s expanded focus and resources, we see this as the right time for AQS to join the firm and bring greater value to our clients, with essentially no change to their project experience.”
Purchase of AQS officially closed on May 31. AQS has relocated its operations into Terracon’s Omaha office located at 15080 A Circle.
