GEI is pleased to announce that Vasan Srinivasan, P.E. has been hired as Chief Operating Officer. He will oversee the operations of GEI’s 38 offices, 800 staff and multiple service lines and market sectors across the country. Vasan will also support the continued development of GEI’s client relationships, culture and future leadership.
Vasan began his career with H.C. Nutting Company in 1992, which was later acquired by Terracon in 2007. He has held a variety of leadership roles with Terracon, from Geotechnical Department Manager, to Chief Operating Officer, and most recently as the firm’s President. He is a licensed professional engineer and has practiced geotechnical and materials engineering in a variety of markets throughout his career. He has also held leadership positions with the Geo-Institute of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Deep Foundations Institute.

Vasan brings a diverse breadth of skills, knowledge and education to his new position at GEI. Vasan received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an M.B.A. from U.C. Berkeley.
