The Association of Environmental & Engineering Geologists is hosting its 2023 annual meeting in Portland, Oregon. Portland is Oregon’s largest city and sits on the Columbia and Willamette rivers, in the shadow of snow-capped Mount Hood. It’s known for its parks, bridges, and bicycle paths, as well as for its eco-friendliness and its microbreweries and coffeehouses.
The Technical Program includes a variety of engineering geology topics, including Dams and Levees, Environmental Topics, Geomorphology, Landslides, Permafrost Thawing Effects, Quarternary Fault Identification and Related Earthquake Hazards, Tunneling, and Volcanic Hazards. There will also be special symposia on Dams and Levees, and Post-Fire Debris Flows.
