An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 hit the island of Taiwan at 8am local time on April 3, 2024. At least 9 people were killed and 900 injured in early numbers, with some people still listed as missing. The epicenter was just offshore of a mountainous region of Hualien county. The earthquake is reported as the strongest to hit Taiwan in 25 years. The earthquake triggered massive landslides and rockfall that we are only just starting to hear about with dramatic photos and videos. I’ve collected below a few videos and links to news articles I’ve come across.
