That’s the title of a blog post by Loren Faulkner of California Builder and Engineer, an Associated Construction Publication. He cites a recent survey by the American Society for Quality (ASQ). ASQ/Harris conducted its survey among 1,277 U.S. 8-17 year olds and 2,196 adults ages 18+. The most startling number to me:
Over 85 percent of kids ages 8-17 say they aren’t interested in engineering as a future career and their parents aren’t encouraging it either…
