Geotechnical monitoring specialists, GroundProbe, have recently celebrated the relocation of their facilities and Geotechnical Support Service (GSS) center in Balikpapan, Indonesia. The center, which originally opened in 2012, provides 24/7 remote monitoring of radar and lidar devices for mining clients around the world. The center has grown to house over 60 geotechnical engineers, one-third of them being women. This represents about half of GroundProbe’s global GSS team. The other monitoring centers are located in Santiago, Chile, and Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Check out more info from International Mining, or GroundProbe directly.
