Acquisition of geotechnical contractor Moretrench further strengthens the company’s product range, geographic footprint, and sector diversity.
Hanover, Md., April 19, 2018 – Keller and Hayward Baker have acquired Moretrench, a contractor operating predominantly along the east coast of the US with a strong heritage of complex geotechnical projects and industrial services.
New Jersey-based Moretrench will operate as a division within Hayward Baker. Additionally, Moretrench Environmental Services Inc. (MES), a well-established, Tampa-based contractor providing industrial services, will operate independently within Keller doing business as Moretrench Industrial.
President of Keller in North America John Rubright said, “Moretrench is a good fit technically and shares a similar company culture and philosophy with Keller. Moretrench and Hayward Baker have successfully joint ventured on several large and high-profile projects, which allowed each to draw on the strengths and resources of the other. Most recently, Moretrench and Hayward Baker’s New York Metro Area office completed a year-long, complex joint venture project at Columbia University’s Manhattanville campus. This involved numerous geotechnical services, including micropiles, CFA soldier piles, driven H-piles, driven sheet piles, and anchors. Sister Keller company Case Foundation was also a sub-contractor. Similarly, MES and Hayward Baker have successfully partnered on challenging projects in Florida.
