GRL Helps on Floodwall in Area Ravaged by Hurricane Sandy

H-Piles on the Hurrican and Storm Reduction Project - Phase II in New Jersey

GRL Engineers are providing wave equation analysis, dynamic pile testing (PDA), and CAPWAP analysis for a US Army Corps flood control and storm surge project on the New Jersey coast. They have been involved in Phase II of the 4-phase, $13.7M project. This phase included 2,661 linear feet of floodwall, and the foundations consisted of HP 12×84 H-Piles. GRL has also observed numerous pile installations on this project, as well as static load tests which confirmed the results of the wave equation analysis. Hopefully, when this project is completed in 2020, many New Jersey residents will be protected from the type of damage caused during the 2012 Hurricane Sandy.
