Geotechnical contractor Moretrench (also a valued GeoPrac sponsor) was heavily involved in emergency pumping and dewatering efforts in New York City in the aftermath of super storm Sandy. Every piece of pumping equipment they had was put into service and crews from their Yonkers and Rockaway NJ office worked long hours to get the job done. Remember that dramatic image of water pouring into the ground zero excavation? Moretrench was there at the World Trade Center Memorial and Towers 3 and 4 to pump it dry. They were also at sites like the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, PATH Tube at Exchange Place, and several area pump stations and sewage treatment plants. After their efforts to dry out municipal facilities, they turned their efforts to private clients. Well done, guys! [Source: Moretrench.com. Image: Moretrench]
