Keller Has New Innovation and Sustainability Engineer

Kimberly Martin - Senior Engineer for Innovation and Sustainability at Keller North America

Although sustainability is a hot topic in engineering, I still don’t hear the word discussed too much when it comes to project meetings and owner requirements. But Keller seems to be sensing a change in our geotechnical engineering industry and I hope they are right!

They recently hired Kimberly Martin, PhD, PE as a Senior Engineer for Innovation and Sustainability at Keller North America. Kimberly is someone I’ve known for a long time, and I’m excited for her to have this unique opportunity and I hope it is the first of many of these types of positions in this business. I’m also thrilled she gets to play a role in Keller’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts as well.

Keller’s blog post goes into more detail about Kimberly and her new role, including discussing her research in more sustainable cement alternatives while pursuing her PhD through the Center for Bio-Inspired and Bio-Mediated Geotechnics (CBBG) at Arizona State University.
