Geology.com has put together an excellent overview of some of these issues related to home owners insurance and geologic hazards. It is a great resource for friends, relatives and associates looking to buy homes. Hopefully they will be able to recognize if there might be a potential risk, and seek out the services of a geologist or engineer before they put their investment at risk.
