Admittedly this blog is rather USA centered, but that’s primarily based on making best use of my time in posting interesting articles so I choose to focus primarily on the US. But I’m always looking for interesting GeoNews, regardless of where it is. But this is the first I’ve heard of this project that includes a total of 74-miles of rail line including some signficant tunnel segments. It is budgeted at £15.9 billion through construction which is currently scheduled to start in 2010 and run through 2017. You can bet that you’ll be hearing more about the geotechnical aspects of the Crossrail Project on GeoPrac in the future.
